From leafy greens to fruit and vegetables, vertical farming and hydroponics have exploded in popularity and scale over the past few years. These operations are focused on delivering nutritious and delicious food to our supply chain in an innovative and efficient manner. At Origen Air, we celebrate this agricultural revolution, sometimes referred to as #Agritecture.
While we are not in the business of producing delicious food, we are interested in improving human health and happiness through the cultivation of air purifying, enhanced plant, golden pothos ivy.
At Origen Air, we have adopted the term, “Oxygen Farmers” as it relates to the primary benefit of our special plants – the fresh, clean oxygen they produce each day.
My favorite part of my day is opening the door to our vertical farm and being bathed in warm, humid air that fills my lungs and covers my skin. Sometimes, when I’ve been over-thinking at my desk for too long, I will sneak away to our oxygen farm and bliss out amongst my plant friends for a few moments, inhaling the fruits of my labor.
There is an irrefutable joy that humans derive from connecting with nature. They actually have a name for it…..Biophilia. Not the prettiest term, simply meaning the inherent connection that humans have towards nature and the natural elements. Side effects of exposure to biophilic elements include happiness, peace of mind, joy and reduction of anxiety and stress…to name a few.
