JUNE 2022

Origen Air Founders, Susan Blanchet and Andrew Crawford, attended NeoCon 2022, the world’s most important event of the year for the commercial interior design industry in Chicago, Illinois.


CEO, Susan Blanchet, was selected as one of 30 finalists in the 2022 HerStory pitch competition. She attended the Inventures Conference in Calgary, AB, prior to telling HerStory to a VIP audience in Banff, AB.


JULY 2022

Origen Air was a semi-finalist in the KPMG Tech Innovator Competition.


Origen Air began BC Fast pilot project with funding from NRC-IRAP and Innovate BC at Malahat First Nation. The BC Fast Pilot program helps regional SMEs design, build and operate a pilot plant or small demonstration of their technology in real-world conditions. The program allows B.C. technology companies to demonstrate the impact of their product, measure the value of their solution, and encourage customer adoption.


AUGUST 2022

NOVEMBER 2022

Co-founders appeared on the 17th season of CBC’s Dragon’s Den.


DECEMBER 2022


CEO participated in the Women Business Mission to Japan organized by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service. She travelled to Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto with a delegation of 52 women business leaders and dignitaries from December 4-10, 2022.

Origen Air was nominated for the Victoria Tech Community Awards in two categories: Product of the Year and Startup of the Year.


In 2022 Origen Air supported 25 employees and four capstone teams of UVIC students. We hired seven co-op students from UVIC and Camosun College in engineering, software development, and business and four capstone teams from the UVIC Engineering Department and Peter B. Gusavson School of Business MBA programs.


In 2022 Origen Air brought in over $750,000 in non-dilutive grant funding to support the development and adoption of our innovative natural air purifier, The Pinnacle™.
